Important points to consider in processing among rest of the below are

Workload types (Simple ETL, Complex ETL, Machine Learning)
Workload processing types (Computation intensive, memory intensive, balanced)
Processing tools architecture (client-master, peer to peer , co-ordinated, or serverless)
Target store transactional requirements (file store, object store, RDBMS, NoSQL)
